Dark Chocolate Covered Stuffed Dates

Who knew dates could taste so good? Could be a snack, could be a dessert.

 2 cups dark chocolate chips
 12 Medjool dates, pitted
 Almond Butter, Peanut Butter or Granola Butter
 Sea salt, crushed peanut nuts or sprinkles

Cooking Instructions


Cut a slit in each date to remove the pit without completely splitting the date in half


Fill each date with almond butter or peanut butter or granola butter and connect them back together with a toothpick


Melt dark chocolate in microwave safe bowl (times may vary depending on your microwave). Melt 30 seconds increments, stirring between each


Dip each stuffed date in the melted chocolate, you can use a spoon to help coat the date, make sure they are well covered, and place on a parchment lined baking pan


Lightly sprinkle with sea salt or crushed peanuts or sprinkles and place in the freezer for 15 to 20 minutes


Remove from the freezer and let thaw before removing the toothpicks. Remove toothpicks and enjoy! (Keep leftovers in a sealed container in the fridge for up to a week)
