Jyl’s Sloppy Joe Recipe

This meal might be messy to eat but it sure is tasty! Thanks to my friend Jyl for the recipe.

 ½ onion, sauteed
 2 cloves garlic, minced
 1 large carrot, grated
 1 can lentils, rinsed & drained
 1 tbsp tomato paste
 1 ½ cups marinara sauce (I recommend using Stefano or Rao’s)
 Salt and pepper to taste
 Hamburger bun or pita

Chop onion and grate carrot


In a large pan, sauté onion for approximately 5 minutes


Add remaining ingredients, minced garlic, tomato paste, marinara sauce, and heat up for approx. 5-10 minutes.


Add salt & pepper to taste


Serve on a whole wheat bun, hamburger bun or pita.
